Nittany Cooperative has been serving the Centre County community since 1967 as a non-profit purchasing cooperative. Previously known as FPA or Fraternity Purchasing Cooperative, we have been providing discounts and bill consolidation services to non-profit, Greek and faith-based organizations for their operational needs and in return providing business opportunities to local vendors.
By maintaining the Golden Rule as the standard for our operations, we are able to preserve the goal of fostering, promoting and perpetuating the best interests of our members. Our superior customer service is fundamental in maintaining the many loyal relationships we have established over the years. In the process, we are striving towards sustainability; both environmentally and economically. By bringing individuals, groups and local businesses together, we can build a successful cooperative community.
The Nittany Co-Op Team:
Matt Siekman - Executive Director
Recently settling down in Happy Valley with his wonderful wife and three young children, Matt is excited to lead Nittany Co-Op into the future. Having enjoyed the Penn State environment as an undergraduate and member of Sigma Chi Fraternity, Matt recently moved back from Northern Virginia to take full advantage of this opportunity and the active outdoor lifestyle Centre County has to offer. In taking this postion, Matt is looking to bring his extensive leadership and distribution management experience into the non-profit world to help foster sustainability from many aspects. Firmly believing in customer loyalty, Matt's goal is to ensure one's experiences with the Co-Op exceed expectations. Being able to utilize his skills to support local organizations and businesses in achieving their goals, Matt feels he will be able to make a positive and lasting difference in the local community.
